Initial monitoring of pupils' musical knowledge through a diversity of exercises.

Definition of the pitch of sounds through experimentation and listening to high and low pitched sounds along with their graphic representation. Incidence of the pitch of sounds in melodies.

4. Long and short. Silence!
Distinction of the duration of sounds to establish the system of equivalents that form it. Incidence of this quality in melodies. Identification of different musical compasses and tempos.

5. Let's make melodies
Fresh exercises in which all concepts developed in prior activities are employed.

6. Piano, forte
Experimenting and listening to the intensity of sounds as an exercise of reflection on performance.

7. The musical palette
Manipulation of the timbre of sounds using synthesizers to understand its use in compositions.

8. Musical framework
Identification of different textures in music through listening and by creating for themselves.

9. And then there were three
Use of new signs of duration: point of augmentation (dot), suspension and triplet.

10. Accidental notes and transposition
Broadening knowledge of pitch. Experimenting with accidentals, key signatures and changing to the key of F.

11. Musical architecture
Analysis and creation of simple musical structures: 2/4, 3/4, variations and rondos.

12. Let's compose
Composition, in groups, of different pieces to form a Suite.
