CONNECTING EUROPE THROUGH MATHEMATICS

Here you will find a selection of activities related to geometry which formed part of a previous Comenius project concerning mathematics. Two of the members of the current project also participated in that project and we felt that we did not want to lose the work we did alongside the treachers and pupils of the Aboe Da’oedschool School from the Netherlands.
We believe these activities show different ways of teaching concepts which are sometimes found very dry by children. They show how teaching geometry can be creative and fun at the same time, and that it is an area of mathematics which is easily incorporated into interdisciplinary projects at school. We hope you enjoy them.
